Exo Abilities in Advanced Warefare Multiplayer (Call of Duty AW)


With the introduction of Exo Suits into Advanced Warfare, a new set of ‘Perks’, the Exo Abilities have been born. There are 8 known exo abilites available and each ability takes up one slot of the Pick 13 System. There is a wildcard that allows you to have 2 exo abilities, which can use separately or at the same time. Each abitlity as a ‘battery’ that runs down once it is turned one, you can also turn it off, you can uses it as many times as you like until the battery is exhausted. There is no way to charge the battery, so once you have used up the exo ability you can’t use it again until your next respawn.

Each ability has a specific amount of time it can be used per life, for example the Stim battery lasts for 5 seconds of use. But the Exo Mute battery lasts for 20 seconds.

There is a Tier 1 Perk, Overcharged Perk, that increases the exo ablitiy battery life. eg. Exo Mute is extended from 20 seconds to 30 second when you have the overcharged perk.

Below you will find the list of all the Exo Abilities and the icon images for each.

Exo Mute – Silence your footsteps. Duration: 20s / 30s (w/overcharged)


Exo Shield – A quick-deplay shield attached to your Exo’s arm.


Exo Ping – Show enemy exo movement and weaopon fire in your HUD.


Exo Trophy System – Destroys incoming grenades and rockets.


Exo Hover – Hover in place for a short duration. Duration: 2.5s


Exo Cloak – Visually conceal yourself for a short duration.


Exo Stim – Temporarily generate health beyond normal levels. Duration: 5s


Exo Overclock – Increased Footspeed.
